On days when I need a serious neighborhood walk, I travel down to West Third Street and do a loop: beginning from Fairfax Ave heading west to La Cienga and a hop over to the opposite side of the street and head back east. West Third Street is lined with a treasure of unique shops, boutiques, cafes, restaurants and wine bars not to mention “brunch row”. My obssession right now is Alexis Bittar’s Miss Havisham line and Marie Claire agrees, he is this month’s designer dossier. The line is woundedly romantic and edgy, with an homage to Great Expectations. His boutique is a non questionable drop by when in the neighborhood.
