May Update: I will have to say that I go to the Original Farmers Market EVERYDAY. The charming booths, eateries, shop, produce and 80+ year history makes it a neighborhood icon. This is one of my favorite past times; grabbing a bottle of wine or pitcher of beer to share, sitting down on a summer evening in the courtyard and watching the local bands play. Finally it’s here:

Join the Original Farmers Market next Thursday, May 31 and Friday, June 1 as they kick off the annual free Summer Music Series with awesome local bands. Thursday Night Jazz welcomes back the talented and vibrant music of Bobby Matos Afro-Cuban Jazz Ensemble, while Friday Night Music presents the Market’s favorite western swing band, The Lucky Stars!

Bobby MatosThursday Night Jazz features a variety of styles from Latin and hip hop to country and contemporary. Friday Night Music presents an eclectic mix of music inlcuding salsa, rock n’ roll, swing, Brazilian, reggae and much more! Click here for a complete 2012 music schedule.
Summer Music takes place on the West Patio from 7-9pm all summer long through September 7. Market restaurants, grocers and shops are open during the shows, so you can shop and dine while enjoying terrific bands.

Get to the market early and grab specials and happy hour from booths and stalls!

See you Thursday nights!
