Guacamole Heaven: An easy guide to the Best Guac
I LOVE avocado. Put me on a desert island with an avocado tree and I will live a happy deserted life! Here is a recipe I kind of made up on my own vacationing in Cabo, Cancun, Baja, Bass Lake and the diversity of Los Angeles, my hometown. MEN and Women will find this easyand will get your guests talking. Shhh, there is a little secret seasoning. You will need:
-
3 Ripe Avocados
-
1 – 1/2 Roma Tomatoes, hearts removed and diced
-
1 Large jalapeno, diced
-
1/3 of a Sweet Spanish Onion, chopped finely
-
1 handful of fresh Cilantro, chopped finely
-
1 smashed & diced garlic clove
-
1/2 a Tablespoon of Oregano
-
1 Package of Laura S’s Green Onion Dip Mix(Secret Sauce!)
-
1 small Lime
My Technique when mixing: Add all the chopped ingredients first, then add spices and toss. Then add avocodos that were split and cut into 1/2 inch sections before scooping. Toss the lightly “smush”. Add garlic and lime. Toss leaving big chunks. The ONLY liquid should come from the lime juice. Everyone loves a fresh guacomole that isn’t watery or filled will creamy additives like sour cream. Above is the Guacomole Heaven I made today!

Romas + Spanish Onion: texture and crunch factor

The major “secret sauce” below. You can substitute this with 2/3 tablespoon of onion power, finely chopped chives/scallions, kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper.

The final result:

CABO CHIPS

of course add more of these for spice factor, or serve with a spicey pico de gallo. Enjoy!
